Surfsmile Therapies C.I.C. offers an innovative adult surf therapy program designed to support individuals with mental ill health in their journey toward recovery and personal growth. Through the power of surfing, we help participants rebuild confidence, reduce stress, and enhance their resilience in a supportive and therapeutic environment. Our program is tailored to assist individuals in regaining the skills and mindset needed to return to work, while also boosting self-esteem and fostering a sense of empowerment. By combining physical activity with mental health support, we provide a unique opportunity for individuals to reconnect with themselves and their community, promoting long-term wellbeing and recovery.
In addition we offer a specialised adult surf therapy program tailored for unpaid carers, providing a much-needed respite from their demanding roles. This program gives carers the opportunity to switch off, recharge, and focus on their own wellbeing in a peaceful, supportive environment. By learning to surf, participants not only enjoy physical activity and connection with nature but also benefit from the therapeutic effects of the ocean, helping to reduce stress and build mental resilience. Our program fosters a sense of community, allowing carers to connect with others in similar situations while offering valuable time for self-care and relaxation. This restorative experience supports carers in maintaining their own mental health, ultimately enabling them to continue their vital caregiving roles with renewed energy and perspective.
